Recap of Our Education Day – 8th February 2025
On 8th February 2025, we hosted a successful Education Day at Holy Family Basilica Self-Help Group, bringing together members for an insightful and interactive session on financial growth, health, digital banking, and member benefits.
A Day of Learning and Growth
The event provided a platform for members to gain deeper knowledge about the importance of savings, investment strategies, financial discipline, and welfare support. It also served as an opportunity to introduce new initiatives and reinforce existing programs that benefit all members.
Key Highlights from the Event.
- Launch of the 35 Days Challenge.
During the event, we officially introduced the 35 Days Challenge, a structured savings competition designed to encourage consistency and financial discipline. Members were encouraged to participate by depositing Ksh. 90 daily for 35 days, helping them build a strong saving habit and qualify for rewards.
2.Health and Wealth Connection.
We had an insightful session on the link between financial well-being and physical health. Members were reminded that good health plays a crucial role in financial stability. Experts shared practical tips on stress management, healthy living, and making informed financial decisions that contribute to long-term prosperity.
- Mastering the Core Banking System.
Understanding the core banking system is essential for smooth and efficient transactions. Members were taken through a step-by-step guide on how to:
✅ Make deposits conveniently
✅ Process loan repayments with ease
✅ Utilize digital banking options for financial efficiency
This session empowered members to use the platform confidently, reducing the need for physical visits to the office.
4.The Benevolent Fund – Why It Matters.
We dedicated a session to discussing the Benevolent Fund, an essential support system within the group. Members were reminded of the importance of being part of the fund and making regular contributions to ensure financial assistance in times of need.
We addressed key concerns, including:
- How the Benevolent Fund works
- Who qualifies for support
- The importance of keeping contributions up to date
By the end of the session, members had a clearer understanding of how the fund operates and why participation is crucial for collective welfare.
5.Interactive Q&A Session.
One of the most engaging parts of the day was the Q&A session, where members had the chance to ask questions, share concerns, and get direct responses from the management team. Topics discussed included:
